The Story Behind the Brand
I'm Sarah Molloy — founder of Vibrant Apparel New Zealand, operating room nurse, and lifelong artist. My life has always lived between two very different worlds: one precise and high-pressure, the other colourful, creative, and free. Vibrant Apparel grew from that creative side of me — a way to bring both worlds into balance.
From Canvas to Clothing
Creativity has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. I started with traditional art — painting landscapes and animal scenes — before evolving into digital and vector design. Over time I realised I didn't just want to make art to hang on a wall. I wanted to turn it into something people could wear, something that moves with them through everyday life and helps them express who they are.
That's how Vibrant Apparel New Zealand came to life — a brand where creativity meets comfort, and bold design becomes a form of everyday expression.
Fashion as Self-Expression
For me, fashion has never been just about clothing. It's about personality, confidence, mood, and individuality. I believe what we wear should say something real about who we are — without us having to explain it. I want every piece I create to help people feel seen, expressive, and unapologetically themselves.
A Creative Legacy
My work is deeply shaped by the creative people around me. My mother, Jeannette Walker, was a watercolour and oil painter whose whimsical scenes brought joy to others — that spirit of imagination has stayed with me. My twin sister is a graphic designer, so creativity has always been part of our family language. Vibrant Apparel is a continuation of that creative lineage, reimagined through my own lens and love of bold modern design.
Growing Beyond
One of my proudest moments came at the end of 2024, when I had the opportunity to showcase my brand — then known as Geo Designs on Clothing — in the United States. It was a reminder of how far this dream had come. Even so, the heart of the brand has stayed the same: art, individuality, family, and the joy of creating something meaningful.

Vibrant Apparel New Zealand is a reflection of my journey, my imagination, and the things I value most — confidence, colour, creativity, and self-expression. My hope is that when you wear my designs, you feel a little bolder, a little brighter, and a little more like yourself.
